In the world of social media, it’s Transformation Tuesday. Y’all, I have always struggled with this particular ‘day.’ What transformation have I experienced that is worth noting, worth celebrating? There’s the transformation to motherhood, which is so significant it seems almost too much for a social media post. My transformation with Jesus, again, too big, to real for an Instagram post. And right now my little man’s transformation is fast and furious and bittersweet to just tag and move on from. (I’ve always been told they grow up fast… Seriously y’all, where is the time going?!?!?)
Recently, however, I have begun to experience a transformation that is worth documenting. Not just because it’s the thing to do, but for accountability. I’ve started to transform the way I view food, health, and fitness (which is a whole other post!) which has started to transform my body.
So, in the spirit of accountability, here we go. Know that this is vulnerable me, which is uncomfortable me.
But, change does not come without challenge.
I’ve started taking the time every day to work on a healthier, more fit me. My son deserves a healthy mama. He and my husband (and everyone in my world, really) deserve a joyful me. I deserve to feel strong and confident and content with myself. And for me, the way I feel about my physical health plays a HUGE role in that.

So, after a year of allowing myself to recover from the amazing experience that is pregnancy and labor, of ensuring I had plenty of milk for my little man, of realizing that my postpartum body was something to celebrate and not hide from, I decided it was time. Time to take control of my health. In that year, while I don’t regret the overall decisions to take it easy, to protect my milk supply, I definitely could have made smarter eating choices and gotten some physical activity. In 6 weeks I lost 11 pounds, 15.5 inches, and (my favorite!) one pant size.

These results, this transformation, are a result of following 21 Day Fix. A simple plan that has helped ensure I eat clean and have reasonable portions (portion control is my kryptonite y’all… I want to eat all the things!). Daily 30 minute workouts, each move for only 60 seconds (you can do anything for 60 seconds!). Really, everything was scripted out for me. And I love a good plan to follow. It’s who I am. Lists to follow and check off… Yes please!
It’s time for more challenge. I am proud of the progress I’ve made so far, but definitely have a long way to go. My last round, I was stagnant. I was not as dedicated to the process, and my results (or lack thereof) showed it. So this week, I’ve started 21 Day Fix Extreme. I already love the way it’s making me feel, and can’t wait to share my results with you!!!
If you’re looking for change, maybe this is it. Trust me, if this busy working mama of a baby/toddler and coach’s wife can fit it in, you can do it too!!!
